Were Shuraim is the Founder and Executive Director of Shurae Good Heart Support Organization (SGHS), a registered community-based charity organization in Uganda dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and underserved communities through access to food, education, care, and hope.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, earned through a competitive scholarship program. His academic journey was driven by a deep commitment to personal growth and a strong desire to give back to the community that shaped him. For Were, education is not only a personal achievement but a tool for service, problem-solving, and long-term community empowerment.

Motivated by firsthand experiences with poverty and inequality, Were founded SGHS to respond to the urgent needs of children and families facing food insecurity, lack of basic necessities, and limited opportunities. Under his leadership, SGHS has grown into a trusted organization, working with local and international supporters to deliver meaningful, life-changing impact.

Were is passionate about sustainable development, youth empowerment, and using both technical knowledge and compassion to create practical solutions for community challenges. His vision is to build resilient communities where every child is cared for, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive.
